Robert Baldwin is a musician and music
educator in Cary, NC. He is a native of Laurel, Mississippi,
and
received his Bachelor of Music degree from the
University of Southern Mississippi where he studied
with Dr. Lois Leventhal. He went on to study with
Barry Snyder at the Eastman School of Music in
Rochester, NY, where he received his Master of Music
degree. More recently Robert has studied jazz piano
in Durham, NC with Ed Paolantonio using the method of
Lennie Tristano, who was one of Ed's teachers.
Robert has performed with rock and funk bands in North Carolina,
doing original and cover tunes. He also plays solo recitals
as an instrumentalist as well as performing his original
songs as a singer/pianist. In addition he can be found playing
during the Sunday morning worship services at Genesis United
Methodist Church in Cary. Most of the arrangements and compositions
on Robert's CD "Offering" were written for use
as offertories at Genesis. |
